I don’t see there being any new mysterious heartthrobs until we do away with social media and stop documenting everyone to death. But the other difference is that people used to look older — 25-year old actors used to be just out of reach for teenagers, which was sexy, because older men, but grown up enough that adults didn’t feel ridiculous crushing on them. Now? Timmy’s approximately 30 and still looks like a kid.
